TranSystems provided comprehensive engineering and design services as well as program management in support of the development of a state-of-the-art Intermodal Container Transfer Facility (ICTF) on the former Navy Base in North Charleston, SC. The project consisted of approximately 118 acres for the terminal site, an estimated additional 42 acres of off-site road and rail improvements, and six major components throughout the 160 acres. The ICTF is expandable through a nested-crane configuration that can provide additional capacity to accommodate projected future intermodal growth within the region.
