Pierce County National Guard Readiness Center

The new $27.1M, 80,700 sqft National Guard Readiness Center provides troops and guardsmen a new facility to train and prepare for state and national disasters operations. This Design/Build project was a coordinated effort between the Washington Military Department and the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services. The LEED Silver facility included office space, classrooms, training areas, kitchen, assembly space, shower facilities, and gear and equipment storage. TranSystems (formerly BCE Engineers) provided mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection designs.
