    TranSystems has an opportunity for an Engineer 2 to join our Roadway Practice in our Charleston, South Carolina office. This position will be a member of our roadway group and will lead and assist in various tasks including plan preparation, quantity calculation, geometric design, drainage design, MOT, specifications, cost estimates and other related tasks. Microstation, Geopak, MS Office and other design software will be used, and all work will be in collaboration with other engineers, technicians, planners, and surveyors. This position will also help mentor young engineers and will be given the opportunity to develop into a project manager.     • Review construction contract documents for overall understanding of the project and for constructability concerns.
    • Prepare and implement alternate solutions to construction issues as they arise.  Coordinate solutions with Design Engineers and the Client.
