TranSystems (formerly WBCM) led the Gambo Bridge Replacement at Naval Support Facility Dahlgren in Dahlgren, VA. Serving as the Designer of Record, TranSystems provided transportation and utility engineering services as well as PCAS services for the project on the Dahlgren, Virginia Naval Base.
The existing 500-foot-long bridge built in 1932 was structurally deficient, functionally obsolete, and subject to additional transit weight restrictions. The new bridge supports all vehicular traffic across Gambo Creek, both civilian and military, as well as main range operations, security, and fire and rescue.
