Turner Diagonal Interchange

Turner Diagonal Interchange

The Turner Diagonal Interchange sits at the crossroads of the country and services 65,000 vehicles per day. The old interchange no longer met the needs of the growing community and the surrounding area. The Kansas Partnership, a collaboration between the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, Kansas, the Kansas Turnpike Authority, the Kansas Department of Transportation, and North Point Development, selected the Clarkson/TranSystems Design/Build team to complete the final design and construction of the new Turner Diagonal Interchange, which included reconfiguring the existing interchange to a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI). The new interchange provides better access to businesses along Turner Diagonal, improved safety, and efficient flow of traffic traveling through the corridor.
