Construction Management for the Port of Los Angeles Berths 142-147 Intermodal Container Transfer Facility Rail Yard

The Berths 142-147 Intermodal Container Transfer Facility (ICTF) is the new semi-automated on-dock rail yard for the TraPac Container Terminal. TranSystems provided construction management services for the Port of Los Angeles Construction Division for the new ICTF supporting the automation upgrades. Services included constructability reviews, prequalification of bidders, construction management, construction cost estimating, environmental compliance coordination, scheduling, and rail-related inspection, and presentation to various stakeholders. Project components include 136RE railroad tracks, RMG Crane Rail, Train-in-Motion System, 5,500 square feet of new buildings, and site improvements.
