The 3.31-acre site enables NOAA to continue its long-term partnership with the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. The high-profile facility complies with University of California at San Diego guidelines and master plans and houses a large-scale, controlled environment Ocean Technology Development Tank. This one-of-a-kind test tank has all of the characteristics required to realize the advanced technologies essential for achieving NOAA’s current and future missions.
