Marshall University – New Flight School at Yeager Airport

TranSystems (formerly L.R. Kimball), first provided options for a Master Plan to reflect the future aspirations of Marshall University for a School of Aviation program at Yeager Airport in Charleston, WV and Tri-State Airport in Huntington, WV. The University planned to split its program into two parts: An Aviation Maintenance Technology program focused on fixed wing and rotor maintenance at Tri-State Airport and a Flight School based at Yeager Airport. A student residence was also intended to provide housing at the South Charleston campus to support first-year students. This project involved the site analyses and building spaces, conceptual studies, and design of a new hangar and classroom building for the Bill Noe Flight School.
