Cerritos, CA

To reduce congestion and improve safety and freeway operations on Interstate 605 and SR91, The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro), in cooperation with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) District 7 and the Gateway Cities Council of Governments (GCCOG) needed to expand capacity for vehicles while minimizing right of way, environmental and economic impacts. The project included adding an auxiliary lane on southbound I-605 between the SR 91 overcrossing and South Street and providing additional merging space. TranSystems provided professional and technical consultant services for developing the Project Report and Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) for proposed improvements to Interstate 605 (I-605), from State Route 91 (SR 91) to South Street, in the City of Cerritos.
