TranSystems with the assistance of a specialty mechanical/electrical consultant performed a routine mechanical–electrical inspection on the Buzzards Bay Vertical Lift Railroad Bridge for the Army Corps of Engineers, which also included strain gauge balance testing, accelerometer evaluation of the main counterweight rope tensions and structural vibration analysis. The Buzzards Bay Vertical Lift Bridge is tower drive vertical lift bridge that spans Cape Cod Canal.
