BNSF’s six-acre project included using straddle carriers to transfer from perpendicular stacks created by their wide span crane to linear marshalling stacks and then to over-the-road chassis. The design plans also include a small building to accommodate a 24-hour remote control technician. TranSystems completed design on the project.
