A Location Study Report, Environmental Impact Statement, and R/W Plans revealed that the bridge required replacement. Scope of work includes designs for a 4,320-foot long, 88-foot-wide bridge with 625-foot through truss along with new/improved roadways, storm sewer, lighting and traffic; separation of combined sewer, routing of a 60' storm sewer pipe, new pump station and gatewell; replacement of three power line towers; new trail system including bridge walkway and ATM access road and parking lot. The $90,000,000 megaproject will be completed in 2010.
