Sky Harbor Airport Terminal 4 Renovation

City of Phoenix Aviation Department

Complete interior redesign of the airport's busiest terminal expanded retail space by 21,200 square feet and simplified maintenance while making the structure a distinctive point of entry to Phoenix. TranSystems' design used complex floor and ceiling patterns requiring innovative structural techniques to evoke the quiet majesty of canyon walls in the public spaces and six concourses. Responsibilities included construction management and contract administration for the $45 million, three-year phased project, completed nine months ahead of schedule with no disruption to airport operations.
