New Facility Program Management

Norton Development Company Terminal, San Bernardino, California

The San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) is a single runway, military airfield being upgraded for passenger use. TranSystems provided program management for architectural design and construction.  The project team evaluated and modified terminal design elements; finishes, circulation, signage and wayfinding, interior and exterior lighting, etc.  They designed technology components such as network, radio, public address, and WiFi.  TranSystems also designed the ticket counters, gate counters, and baggage sorting system with inline security screening. TranSystems security specialists implemented the first TSA Category III security program at a “new” airport.
