Rail Modeling

A railroad system is a complex system with interaction between components and variables that are not always easy to predict or control. Because computer simulation modeling can consider complex interactions and allow the user to see how the system performs under a wide variety of conditions, simulation modeling gives the user the unique ability to understand the implications of various decisions, and be confident that the selected solution is the right solution. TranSystems’ simulation and analytical models allow clients to experiment with mock-ups, avoid disturbing systems and people, visualize under a variety of conditions, and understand complex interactions.

TranSystems provides simulation and modeling services in conjunction with site assessments, master planning, inspection services, facility design, maintenance services and planning, and Alternative Analysis. TranSystems has more than 15 years of rail modeling experience and one of the largest simulation consulting groups in the country.

Our staff provides rail modeling services to many of the Class 1 Railroads, short line railroads, state rail and transit departments, intercity operators and other public and private sector clients.
