Food Bank Building Renovation

Maryland Food Bank

This non-profit provides 12 million pounds of food annually to help feed over 45,000 Marylanders each week. When the organization ran out of space and purchased an 87,000- square-foot facility requiring extensive renovation, they retained TranSystems as their design/build partner. The make-over encompassed multi-purpose office space, construction of a new cooler and freezer, refrigeration, and new racking for the warehouse. TranSystems drew on its food industry clients and contractor relationships to generate major gifts in-kind to support the effort.
