Expert Witness and Litigation Support

During various levels of litigation, a trial often requires specific subject matter expertise to dispute or support testimony or evidence. Attorneys, retained by cities, railroads, and other public and private organizations often call on TranSystems’ knowledgeable staff to provide expert witness and litigation support services.

TranSystems regularly provides trial exhibits (demonstrating site conditions prior to the event or sequencing of events), expert witness testimony, engineering investigations and reports, and forensic engineering. Additionally, in the environmental realm, our staff works to prepare historical and projected air pollution emission rates for clients as part of their litigation support contract. After the research has been conducted and the documentation completed, TranSystem provides a knowledgeable expert witness to give depositions on the work performed.

We strive to maintain a well-educated, professional staff – beyond the minimum of the professional engineer. TranSystems challenges employees to be subject matter experts in their areas by encouraging them to receive high level education in and out of the classroom, whether through industry experience, certificated seminars and trade shows, participation on industry round tables and in writing industry reports and guidelines. Our senior level staff is located throughout the US and ranges in expertise from environmental science to freight rail design and engineering, and transit or aviation security to manufacturing and distribution facilities.
