TxDOT retained TranSystems to provide design services for improving capacity and traffic flow at the convergence of US 75, Plano Parkway and the Dallas Rapid Area Transit (DART) route. The project reconstructed entrance ramps at US 75, widened Plano Road, and provided new, cost-effective overpasses for DART rail traffic and vehicular traffic on Plano Road. TranSystems’ scope of work included site investigations, retaining wall design, bridge design, vertical and horizontal layouts, hydrology and hydraulics, traffic control, signalization, landscaping, project management, plan preparation and cost estimating.
