Ease of transit travel is a necessity – not a luxury. Transit accessibility is a right of our community’s seniors and disabled travelers. Our staff is nationally recognized in the planning, design and operation of accessible fixed route services and ADA complementary paratransit services. We are proud to use our expertise in these areas to enhance the lives and transportation experience for all transit and paratransit riders.

This experience includes the implementation of all provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA). TranSystems has provided technical assistance in ADA eligibility and ADA service assessments to many transit agencies across the United States.

TranSystems has also participated in a variety of research projects concerning accessible transportation systems and innovative service designs. The firm offers expertise in the ADA and other paratransit service planning and evaluation, ADA paratransit eligibility, and technical assistance in ADA compliance. Our staff works for the Federal Transit Administration to assess individual agencies’ ADA compliance.
