Airport Express Terminal Planning

City of Chicago DOT, Illinois

CDOT's planning arm is developing concepts for an Airport Express Terminal at Block 37 in the central area business district. TranSystems has been assisting with analysis and planning tasks related to the terminal and improved public transit services. These include preparation of conceptual plans for the Bock 37 AES terminal and to investigate and resolve key issues related to train operation and coordination with plans for a retail/commercial building at the site. Planning tasks included investigation of traffic impact on both surface vehicular traffic and the transit system and established budgetary costs. During the development of the design, the team interfaced with appropriate agencies, the FAA and the City of Chicago Department of Aviation.
