TranSystems, a professional services consulting firm focused on the secure and efficient movement of people and goods, recently announced that John T. Grow, PE, has been named Senior Vice President/Market Sector Leader in support of the firm’s states and municipalities group, bringing valuable expertise to the support of various transportation agencies nationally.
Grow brings more than 25 years experience managing transportation programs for the public and private sectors. His experience includes the planning, design, engineering and management of projects in the areas of complex interstate highways, bridges, interchanges, toll facilities, traffic and traffic safety and intermodal projects, through conventional as well as Design/Build and Public/Private delivery methods. He has worked to develop collaborative relationships throughout the industry and with local and state departments of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration, large cities, metropolitan planning organizations, and other state and local governments.

Grow has served TranSystems as a Principal for a number of years, maintaining client relationships and helping to expand the firm’s planning and design practice in Ohio and Florida. Prior to TranSystems, Grow spent more than 10 years with the Ohio Department of Transportation, including as Assistant Director for Policy, Chief Engineer and District Director. Of the new role, Grow says “I look forward to working with additional important agencies and expanding our alternative delivery, toll and “Top 10” bridge practices to better serve them under pending Federal legislation and continuing challenging economic times.”
Grow obtained a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. He is a registered professional engineer and resides in the firm’s Orlando, Fla., office.
