Mesquite Intermodal Facility Expansion Receives Recognition
TranSystems’ Mesquite Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Intermodal Facility Expansion project in Mesquite, Texas, has been recognized by the American Concrete Pavement Association (ACPA) with an Excellence in Concrete Pavements award. The project team has received a Silver Award in the Industrial Paving category. TranSystems served as the engineer.

The expansion project was initiated to keep up with consumer demands. TranSystems responsibilities included site assessment, design and development plans, project bidding and construction support, and project management.

TranSystems has developed an informational project video detailing the challenges and successes of the iconic Wacker Drive and Congress Parkway Reconstruction project. Located in the heart of Chicago, Ill., this $303 million roadway, bridge and tunnel improvement project, involved complex staging to keep 135,000 vehicles and a staggering 150,000 pedestrians moving through the construction zone every day. The project was ultimately awarded the transportation engineering industry's coveted ACEC Grand Conceptor. click to read
