With more than three major marine intermodal rail terminals, port authorities are continually looking for new ways to improve trucker access and operations in the busy region. At 12:01 a.m. on January 17th, the brand-new, state of the art 135 million dollar San Antonio Consolidated Rental Car Facility opened its doors to travelers. The new 13-acre, 227,000 square foot project replaces a well-used, existing short-term public parking garage with the capacity for 2,600 ready/return rental car spaces and 1,200 public parking spaces configured on six different floors. click to read

TranSystems welcomes Kevin Thibault, PE, as Southeast Regional Vice President and National Toll Practice Leader. In his role, Thibault will oversee operations in the company’s Southeast five-state region and lead the firm’s business development and client relationship efforts with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise. Nationally, he also will lead the toll practice helping to grow relationships with toll agencies across the country. click to read
