TranSystems

Multimodal Terminals and the Environment

Products or people, we see every mile along every journey as an opportunity to enrich the experience, no matter what the mode. Our exciting challenge is to make the transportation experience real and tangible, both for our clients, and for the end-users of our projects. To reach for solutions that are as inspirational and energizing as they are socially responsive, life-cycle oriented, and environmentally conscious.

Multimodal terminals benefit the environment because they encourage public transit as opposed to car travel. TranSystems is a leader in the planning and design of multimodal terminals. We deliver innovative and practical designs for passenger facilities.

The multiple uses built into our transit center designs encourage include retail, office space, a downtown parking garage and even a public plaza. These amenities can provide revenue sources as well as enliven the streetscape.  Additionally, our LEED certified architects and engineers have the knowledge to design and manage the construction of buildings and their amenities to meet the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Engineering Design) criteria developed and administered by The United States Green Building Council (USGBC), whose mission is to work with the building industry to promote buildings that are: “environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work.” We create high performance/green buildings that operate more efficiently, thus reducing the operating costs of our clients. Our staff provides environmental planning, LEED evaluation and validation, carbon footprint analysis, and innovative sustainable design.
