Northern Indiana Rail Hub at Gary Airport

TranSystems provided concept designs and costs for alternative relocations of Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway tracks to allow extension of the airport's Runway 12. Simulations were conducted to determine the operating characteristics of the most promising alignments. A route was selected, approved by the FAA and funded. TranSystems is providing full design construction documents, assistance with contractor selection and construction coordination for the project and providing a feasibility study for passenger rail service directly to a new passenger terminal.
