KCI Airport Guide Sign Replacement

City of Kansas City, Missouri - Aviation Department

TranSystems designed new roadway and guide signs throughout the KCI Airport street network, including Dynamic Message Signs for the terminals. When a new Economy Parking Lot was constructed, TranSystems was again asked to design the way-finding signage. The lot was designed as three facilities, each dedicated to one of the airport’s three terminals. To convey this complex message in an easily understandable way, the designers put themselves in the shoes of a diverse driving audience. Their diagrammatic signage guides drivers to the appropriate lot via  several roundabouts.
