Washington Street Reconstruction

Lake County, Gurney, Illinois

Gurnee, IL is an outlying suburb between Chicago and Milwaukee with a small-town feel despite burgeoning growth.  Proximity to the Tri-State Tollway is one factor and Washington Street (County Route 45) is an important east-west link to that artery.  TranSystems designed the reconstruction of Washington Street from Illinois Route 21 to U.S. Route 41, providing utility coordination, survey, ROW acquisition, wetland delineation, soil borings, permitting, maintenance of traffic plan, intersection studies, and designs for pavement, compensatory storage, culverts, erosion control, landscaping, traffic signals, traffic signal interconnect, lighting, and retaining walls.
