TranSystems

Local Streets and Highways

TranSystems recognizes the need to create a design that accommodates a variety of travelers across a span of geographic elements, while at the same time minimizing the environmental impact of the new roadway – whether it be an expressway, interstate, highway or local roadway. Our designs illustrate that difficult terrain married to established design criteria create a functional and aesthetically pleasing roadway.

TranSystems offers expertise in proven and experimental nontraditional designs such as the modern roundabout, continuous flow intersection (CFI), diverging diamond interchange (DDI) and others. These solutions enrich a résumé that is balanced by traditional design experience in the areas of planning and specifications for roadway and bridge structure reconstruction and rehabilitation, minor intersection modifications, ADA compliance, and safety upgrades. We have used our innovation to vastly expand TranSystems’ toolbox of solutions for transportation problems.

Our staff offers experience in designing roadways along with the adjoining structural elements, and other standard design appurtenances such as utilities, mapping, grading, erosion control, storm sewer, drainage and detention facilities, sidewalks, decorative street lighting, traffic signals, environmental permitting; pavement design, marking, and signing; construction sequencing; and bid documentation.

During construction, projects benefit from our thorough planning and precise design specifications, as well as our significant relationships and amenable coordination with utilities and other third party stakeholders. Our construction projects result in very few change orders and regularly exceed client expectations.
