TranSystems served as the lead consultant in developing a comprehensive Citywide Trails Plan for Kansas City, MO. The plan accomplished its major goal of ensuring that alternate modes of transportation are included in public projects and private development. The TranSystems team brought together individuals with extensive background in trail planning, knowledge of national precedents, and familiarity with local trail development. The final plan  included design criteria and typical sections for all types of trails and their crossings with railroads, transit facilities, rivers and arterial roadways.
