Cargill Plant Rail Expansion

Cargill Corn Milling, Blair, Nebraska

Cargill sought to expand their in-plant rail capacity to handle additional rail car storage for their wet-feed operations. TranSystems worked with Cargill to find the optimum solution, developing a conceptual alignment for a 160-car storage yard on the west side of the existing Blair Facility; a conceptual alignment for the creation of the three-track yard within the existing Blair Facility, and a rail service plan for the 160-car yard and the three track extension utilizing a new aerial photo.
