Absolute Energy Rail Expansion

Absolute Energy, St. Ansgar, Iowa

TranSystems performed conceptual planning for developing a rail expansion plan that will allow the Absolute Energy ethanol plant's loadout tracks to tie back into their storage tracks. This involved evaluating the need for crossovers, 42” pipe extension to accommodate the rail expansion, the need for additional loadout capacity and coordination with railroads for more efficient unit train operations.  Based on the conceptual plan, TranSystems worked with Absolute Energy on a revised internal rail operations plan and developed project cost estimates.
