AVR Bridge Street Crossing

Allegheny Valley Railroad Company, Etna, Pennsylvania

Allegheny Valley Railroad (AVR) is a short-haul freight train that travels between Washington and Pittsburgh, one of three short lines operated by Carload Express Inc. AVR selected TranSytems to design the removal and reconstruction of the Bridge Street Grade Crossing in Etna, PA.  Also included in the work was the rehabilitation of the track on each side of the crossing.  Transystems provided construction specifications and final inspection of the project, and coordinated with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
