TranSystems was selected to develop a conceptual level Due Diligence study and report for a proposed rail development in Galesburg, IL. The report examined 1) expanding the existing yard to include new, longer receiving and departure tracks 2) building an intermodal yard where blocks of intermodal trains would be swapped  3) constructing a 20-track coal yard to centralize and aggregate coal train inspection and refueling and 4) developing a Storage in Transit yard for plastic pellet car storage with space for 1500 car spots.
