Milan to Attica Capacity Improvements

BNSF Railway, Attica, Kansas

TranSystems is providing engineering design and construction management services for numerous BNSF capacity expansion projects through five states. The Milan to Attica project consisted of thirty-six miles of new high speed second mainline track. Driving the project's schedule was the BNSF's requirement to have the new track construction begin in the spring. To meet this challenge, engineering design, administration, and construction were all performed simultaneously. TranSystems' engineering design staff worked in the field with the construction management staff to ensure that construction issues were resolved in an expeditious manner. The project was completed in mid-summer.
