KCS Victoria to Rosenberg Revitalization

Kansas City Southern Railway, Rosenberg, Texas

Kansas City Southern Railway Company (KCS) has been growing and expanding since its beginnings in 1887. Over the last ten years the railroad has pursued the goal of expanding its north-south line into Mexico; TranSystems’ programmatic management services are bringing them closer to that goal. KCS owns the right-of-way for 10 miles of track in Southwest Texas extending from Rosenberg, a suburb of Houston, to Victoria. The line needs to be cleared to make way for new track. TranSystems’ innovative cash-free solution found a market for the scrap iron that paid for the entire labor cost for clearing the tracks.
