High Line Bridge Rehabilitation

Kansas City Terminal Railway Company, Kansas City, Kansas & Missouri

This 13-span, 1,061-foot-long, steel-through-girder bridge had been reduced to single-track operation at 10 mph. With two tracks on the bridge, two underneath, and adjacent trackage in all directions, executing the rehabilitation without interrupting rail traffic presented a challenge. TranSystems' construction supervision team provided quality assurance, contract administration, project scheduling, material procurement and coordination with Railroad Operations. The team, comprised of track, structural steel and concrete specialists, anticipated potential problems to keep the project on schedule.
