Rail Integration into Airports

Today’s air travelers are stymied by a difficult commute to the airport with traffic, parking, and wayfinding obstacles. TranSystems specializes in full-spectrum, transportation-focused solutions for today’s frustrated air traveler by offering reform for the air travel experience.

Extending rail service to airports is a goal commonly expressed by decision-makers. Airports add a whole new dimension to ridership estimates and, depending on the type of service, can bring a real boost to the new line. Bringing rail service to airports allows airlines to handle more travelers with less impact on the environment, multiplies the destination possibilities for travelers, and ensures that time-sensitive business can be transacted without large allowances for potential highway congestion. But bringing rail lines into a complex airport site requires specialized planning and design by two groups not used to working together: rail engineers and airport engineers.

At TranSystems we understand that the need to connect people and places overrides traditional hurdles and we have the in-house resources to help alleviate many of the air travel headaches. By connecting air travelers to the airport via local light rail, heavy rail rapid transit, commuter rail line, or a dedicated express train service; providing wayfinding solutions throughout the terminal; and designing supply chain management enhancements to make the journey of people and goods more efficient, TranSystems provides a one-consultant solution center for today’s airport rail access needs.
