Integrating Multimodal Terminals

To ease congestion, many communities are developing integrated transportation networks that link multiple transportation modes. Key to the success of these systems are multimodal transportation facilities to get people and goods from here to there as quickly and efficiently as possible. Such facilities are regularly incorporated at airports to allow for seamless connections from air travel to rail, transit, or truck modes.

TranSystems is a leader in the planning and design of multimodal stations. We have developed innovative designs for multimodal stations at airport terminals across the nation. As part of our overall design, we look at an area’s assets to see how they can be integrated into the system creating a connection to mixed use retail, commercial, hotel, and residential developments.

Our staff has the overall knowledge of the modes and understands how they interconnect. We have performed a variety of feasibility studies, alternatives analysis, planning, and design projects for multimodal connections at airports.
