Continental Airlines Renovation/Expansion

Port Authority of New York & New Jersey & Continental Airlines

Continental Airlines' Global Gateway project at Newark consisted of a vast renovation and expansion effort to serve commuter traffic to Atlanta, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Chicago. TranSystems was selected by Continental to modernize Terminal A's Arrivals, Departures, Ramp and Concourse areas. For each Terminal Level, TranSystems prepared preliminary and final designs along with contract plans and documents. The main challenge was satisfying all the consortium partners, including TWA, United Airlines, Air Canada, Spirit Air and the PANYNJ.
