AFCO specializes in providing airport management and facilities development for companies in the business of moving passengers, cargo, or freight. When AFCO received approval to develop Cargo 6 at RIC, they selected TranSystems to complete design and construction documents for the intermodal cross-dock trucking facility, expanding the airport's cargo capacity by almost 50%. Construction of Cargo 6, which includes 41,000 sq ft of cargo-handling warehouse and 10,000 sq ft of office space, was accomplished in only five months.
