Client Appreciation

Letter From Brian Larson

Fellow Racing Enthusiasts,

TranSystems would like to invite you to be part of a “Transportation Experience”, but first, let me tell you a
bit about how TranSystems got involved with Racing For Kids and the Dreyer & Reinbold Racing team. It starts
with our vision of our industry and how we fit into it. We see a future where the safe, efficient, environmentally
sound and sometimes elegant movement of people and goods plays an ever more intense role in the larger
economy and people’s lives. Our unwavering focus on the transportation industry combined with our desire to
engage in a more personal experience with this greater movement is the starting line.

I first became associated with Racing For Kids about five years ago. I liked the close link to transportation,
but most of all I liked the mission. Supporting critically ill children and their parents with personal visits by
professional race car drivers at every race venue. Those visits nourish a family’s endurance, they bring cheer,
they lessen the tedium of the hours, they connect everyone in that room to the mass of the rest of humanity,
and who’s to say, now and again those visits may affect the outcome. This relationship is our chance as an
organization to ease the way of some people here and there. Racing For Kids has become TranSystems’ “official”
non-profit. Since 2007, we have raised over $100,000 for Racing For Kids.

I met Robbie Buhl through Racing For Kids and found him to be a remarkable individual. I remember vividly
a talk he gave regarding this non-profit to which he has devoted so much passion. In fact, he is their National
Spokesperson. Robbie has raced in the Indy 500 eleven times and is co-owner along with Dennis Reindbold
of Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. Just last year they expanded to a two-car professional motor racing team in the
IZOD IndyCar Series. The IZOD IndyCar Series happens to be the fastest growing sport in the country with
environmentally aware leaders. They were the first motorsport series to run on 100% fuel-grade Ethanol.

For the last several years we have sponsored Dreyer & Reinbold and Racing For Kids. These experiences have
been tremendously exciting and enriching. We decided that we wanted to expand our footprint with these great
organizations by introducing our most important clients to these experiences. Hopefully you’ll be able to join us
at one of these select events this year and participate in what we call the transportation experience.

Sincerely,

Brian Larson, Chairman and CEO

Racing for Kids

Racing For Kids is a unique not for profit national charity, which draws on the popularity of motorsports to bring attention and funding to the health care needs of children and child health institutions.

There are several facets to the Racing For Kids program, which was founded in Detroit in 1989. At the heart of the program are visits to Children’s Hospitals by the Racing For Kids drivers in the cities where they race. The drivers spend time with each sick child, sharing stories about their racing careers, signing autographs and giving out the distinctive Racing For Kids hats. For many hospitalized youngsters, these visits by the racers are the lone bright spot in what is often a rather gloomy experience.

Racing For Kids representatives have visited more than 20,000 sick children in more than 450 hospitals in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan and Australia. Racing For Kids has raised more than $5.2 million through donations, specific fundraising events and in-kind gifts.
